paramount plus/vizio Activation Code : Activate Paramount Plus on Vizio TV
The following Vizio TVs are supported:
- Smartcast 3.0
- P-Series Quantum and Quantum X
- M-Series Quantum
- V-Series
- E-Series
- D-Series
Sign up for Paramount+ on your Vizio TV
You can sign up for Paramount+ on your Vizio TV with these simple steps:-
1. Launch the Paramount+ app, and select “Sign Up”. You’ll see an access code displayed on your TV screen
2. Visit paramountplus.com/vizio on your computer or mobile web browser, and enter your access code, then click “Activate”
3. Choose a subscription plan, then click “Continue.”
4. You will be prompted to create a Paramount+ account, or if you already have one, sign in
5. Enter your payment information, then click “Start Paramount+
6. You’ll see a confirmation screen, and you can return to your TV to stream Paramount+

Once you have added the Paramount+ app, there are two ways to sign in:
On your TV
- Go to Settings > Sign In.
- Select On my TV.
- Enter the email address and password you used when subscribing to Paramount+ and select Sign In. That’s it!
On paramountplus.com
1. Go to Settings > Sign In.
2. Select On paramountplus.com.
3. You’ll be presented with a website and a code. Make a note of this code—you’ll need it for the next step.
4. Visit paramountplus.com/vizio on your computer or mobile device, enter your activation code, and select “Activate”. If you’re not signed in to Paramount+ on your computer, you’ll need to do so here.
5. Your screen will refresh, and you can start streaming on your Vizio TV.
Upgrade to Premium
If you signed up for Paramount+ on your TV, use the steps below to upgrade your plan. Note that you cannot switch subscription plans directly on your TV.
- Visit paramountplus.com and click on your user initials in the upper righthand corner.
- Click “Account”, to be taken to this page.
- Click the “Ad Free” button* in the upper righthand corner – OR – scroll down and click “Upgrade” in the Subscription & Billing category, next to Plan.
- Select “Premium”, then “Switch Plan”. If you change your mind, just click “Cancel”. A confirmation screen will display your upgraded Premium status. If you switch plans in the middle of a free trial, you’ll lose the remainder of your free trial and will be billed immediately.
If you originally signed up for Paramount+ on another platform or billing system (Apple Store, Roku, etc.), you’ll be prompted to return to that platform to change your plan.
Switch to Essential
If you signed up for Paramount+ on your TV, you’ll need to visit paramountplus.com, then follow the steps below to switch to Essential (PLEASE NOTE that the Limited Commercials plan has been discontinued, and if you switch to the Essential plan, you will NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR LOCAL LIVE CBS STATION).
- Click “Sign In” located at the top right corner of the homepage.
- Sign in to your Paramount+ account.
- From there, you’ll be directed back to the homepage. Now click on your initials located at the top right corner, and select “Account” from the dropdown menu that appears.
- Under “Subscription & Billing”, you’ll see your current subscription plan. Select “Switch Plan.”
- For security purposes, reenter your password.
- Confirm that you want to switch to Essential, and click “Switch Subscription.” If you switch plans in the middle of a free trial, you’ll lose the remainder of your free trial and will be billed immediately.
If you originally signed up for Paramount+ on another platform or billing system (Apple Store, Roku, etc.), you’ll be prompted to return to that platform to change your plan. Note that you cannot switch plans directly on your TV.
Force close the Paramount+ (app crashing)
If the app crashes, you can resolve this by force closing your TV with these steps:
- On the Vizio Smart TV remote, hold down the “Back” button to restart the app. If you do a quick hold (by holding it down halfway), it will display the exit menu.
- Relaunch the Paramount+ app.
Update to the latest Paramount+ app version
Vizio smart TVs automatically check to ensure you’re always running the latest version of the app and your TV’s software. You can also manually check for updates to the Paramount+ app:
- Press the Menu button on your remote control.
- Scroll down and select System.
- Select “Check for Updates.”
Restart your device to fix streaming issues
If you have trouble streaming, you can often clear the underlying issue by power cycling your TV with these steps:
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the TV or from the outlet.
- Once the TV is unplugged, press and hold the power button on the TV for 15 to 30 seconds. On most Vizio TVs, the power button is located on the backside of the TV in the bottom left corner.
- Now plug the power cable back into the TV or outlet (whichever was disconnected) and power the TV on.
Turn on accessibility features (closed captions, audio descriptions)
There are several ways to turn on accessibility features:
On your Vizio TV
- Select your desired show
- Click the “CC” button that appears next to the “Watch Now” button on your Vizio TV screen.
- To turn on closed captions, click an option under “Subtitles”. To turn on audio descriptions, click an option under “Audio”.
Via the Vizio SmartCast menu on your remote
- Power on your display and select the Menu button on your IR Remote.
- When the sidebar menu appears on your screen, scroll down and select Closed Captions.
- To turn on closed captions, click an option under “Subtitles”. To turn on audio descriptions, click an option under “Audio”.
How to cancel
If you signed up for Paramount+ on your Vizio TV, please use this cancel instruction:
- Visit paramountplus.com and click on user initials in the upper righthand corner.
- Click “Account.”
- Scroll down and click “Cancel subscription.”
